Chapter 4: The Connector
There was a maine coon cat in the room when Oemm woke up. Curious, he called out to him. "Mrow!"
The maine coon turned around. "Didn't Stian tell you to talk in English? You did, right Stian?" "He did, bur- but I juss forgot." Oemm still had trouble with the English words, but not as much as before, Stian noticed.
"Okay," the maine coon said, then he turned to Stian. "Stian, you can go now."
The silver furred cat bowed his head. "Alright, Connector."
Oemm stared at the maine coon, but quickly turned his head away when he looked at him. He was the Connector? The leader of the Guardians? The cat with many powers?
"Oemm, as Stian told you, you will be the new Connector."
"Why?"
"I can't tell you until you've completed your first assignment."
"Assim-assignment?" Oemm was confused. Why was this happening so fast?
"To be the Connector, you must be trained. You have eleven assignments," replied the Connector. "They are in three groups. I will reveal each group as you get to them. The first group of assignments involves you going to other planets."
"WHAT?!" Oemm pronounced that word without flaw.
Ignoring Oemm, the Connector continued. "In the first assignment, you have to go to a certain planet that is excellent for training the new Connectors. Learn one of the animal's language, you can talk to all of them. The people there call it Earth, like this planet, but other planets call it the Pokemon world, since most of the animals there are called Pokemon. Pokemon have many powers that you have to discover on your own. If you're wondering what you're supposed to do there, you have to find all the legendary Pokemon that are still alive."
Oemm wondered how the Connector was able to say all that. Then he realized something. "Whar- what are teh legemdary Pokemom- mon?"
The maine coon smiled. "Just ask."
"How?" Oemm knew the answer right after he asked.
"You can speak and understand every language. And by the way, you are allowed to tell one person– or creature– everything Stian and I have told you."
And then Oemm was whisked away.
